Fujitsu establishes security consulting division

Fujitsu has established a new digital security consulting and assurance division tasked with helping organisations in Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere prepare for and respond to complex cyberthreats. Fujitsu said its Cyber Security Services has been staffed with an integrated team of data security and forensics experts capable of providing tailored solutions ranging from advanced threat intelligence to rapid response capabilities.

Other data security services to be offered by the new division include digital forensics, assessments and cybersecurity capability uplifts, and AI-enhanced security operations.

Establishment of the new division follows a number of recent acquisitions in the Oceania region aimed at bolstering Fujitsu’s security credentials. These include Microsoft cloud, modern workplace and security provider oobe; defence, consulting and cybersecurity specialists MF & Associates; APAC’s largest independent ServiceNow consultancy Enable; and New Zealand security consulting and managed security services firm InPhySec.

Fujitsu CEO for Asia-Pacific Graeme Beardsell said the new division unifies Fujitsu’s cybersecurity expertise under one roof.

“Organisations of all sizes are increasingly facing cyberthreats. Fujitsu Cyber Security Services will support firms to prepare and respond to the most pressing data security challenges today,” he said. “Our integrated team of experts provides comprehensive, tailored solutions, from advanced threat intelligence to rapid response mechanisms. By unifying our firm’s regional expertise, Fujitsu offers a unique strategic advantage, enabling our clients to focus on their core business with the assurance of robust cyber resilience.”
