Oracle achieves HCF attestation for OCI
Oracle has achieved Hosting Certification Framework (HCF) status at the Certified Strategic level for its Oracle Cloud for Australian Government and Defence solution.
The certification, the highest available under the HCF regime, will allow Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to provide government customers with the security standards required to support their full technology portfolio. Oracle will be able to provide all levels of government, as well as Defence, with built-in security capabilities for mission-critical workloads such as AI, machine learning and simulations.
The Oracle Cloud for Australian Government and Defence is physically isolated from Oracle’s other public and government cloud regions for enhanced security, and already offers over 100 OCI services including compute, storage, database, identity and access management, and load balancing.
Oracle’s OCI Government Regions are purpose-built to address public sector needs capabilities such as strong encryption and in-depth auditing. OCI has also achieved Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment up to the Protected classification level, and has also achieved certification and attestation for global key security standards such as SOC and ICO.
Oracle MD for Australia and New Zealand Stephen Bovis said achieving HCF certification “underscores our unwavering commitment to provide government with access to innovative technology while ensuring the highest levels of security and resiliency”.
“We recognise that safeguarding critical data and infrastructure is paramount for the Australian Government and its citizens. This certification not only enhances our capability to help our customers meet the highest security standards but also empowers Australians with greater confidence in the protection of their data,” he said.
