Fuji Xerox opens office in the Parliamentary Triangle
Fuji Xerox Australia has opened a new Canberra office within the Parliamentary Triangle to help better support government contracts.
The company has had a presence in Canberra for over 20 years but has now moved from its previous office in Fyshwick to the new facility closer to government clients.
Fuji Xerox Australia Managing Director Neil Whittaker said the company made the multimillion-dollar investment to help fulfil its ambition of playing a key role in facilitating the government’s new Digital Service Standard strategy.
“Fuji Xerox Australia is a passionate advocate for the digital transformation of government, and we wanted to be in the heart of the Parliamentary Triangle closer to our key customers like DFAT, the AFP, Attorney-General Department and Australian Government solicitors, to name a few,” he said.
“Governments around the world are undergoing a major transformation to make online their default channel for citizen services, and we see Australia is following a similar path. The goal — to go digital by 2017 — is an ambitious one but we believe it is achievable.”
The new Digital Service Standard strategy establishes a series of criteria that all eligible services must fulfil before they are launched.
These include designing products taking an agile and user-centred approach, making all new source code open and re-usable where appropriate and incorporating open standards and common government solutions.
