Celebrate Digital Twin Week with Smart Cities Council
The Smart Cities Council Australia and New Zealand will host a series of exchanges, showcases and workshops for five days as part of Digital Twin Week, from 19–23 October 2020. The event will celebrate everything to do with digital twins, with events that address shaping the best possible action and investment in planning, designing, building and operating our built environment assets.
Attendees will be able to join the Centre for Digital Built Britain for an evening of knowledge sharing and listen to 12-minute rapid case studies on Australia and New Zealand’s leading digital twin projects. Australia’s water leaders will also address the role of digital transformation in optimising water assets, while Australian academic institutions explore digital twin research and development. The event will feature showcases from leading digital twin innovators in the United States and a government-only networking session on ‘Digital Twins for Cities’.
Participants will also learn how digital twins can support the planning of fast-growing greenfield and regional areas, and participate in the creation of the Australia | New Zealand Digital Twin Strategy. Highways England and High Speed Rail 2 will also conduct a digital twin knowledge exchange. Digital Twin Week and the Digital Twin Hub are initiatives of the Centre for Data Leadership.
