DTA announces AI Government Showcase event
The Digital Transformation Agency has announced that its AI Government Showcase 2025 will take place on Thursday, 31 July at the National Convention Centre in Canberra.
Centred around ‘Adoption in action’, the showcase will feature tech demonstrations across several breakout stages, as well as a panel discussion with leading cross-sector thinkers.
The agency says it has focused on inviting small to medium-sized Australian AI businesses to demonstrate their AI capabilities, and is also welcoming business areas across the APS to present on their AI-in-government use cases.
The AI Government Showcase 2025 is an opportunity to network with leaders in the AI field, learn from the latest use cases, and hear from those at the cutting edge of AI thinking from academia and business. The showcase is built around real cases of AI being rolled out across government, or new solutions being developed by Australian businesses. Attendees will learn how teams navigate complex challenges, where they’ve streamlined operations and embedded responsible AI into real services for Australians, and will be able to meet and speak to some of Australia’s most forward-thinking AI leaders, sharing solutions designed for government challenges.
“From small scale pilots to enterprise level tools, agencies across the APS are already starting to utilise AI to support their work,” said Chris Fechner, Chief Executive Officer for the DTA. “This showcase will highlight the progress being made and the opportunities ahead.”
