Government rolls out revamped myGov site
The federal government has rolled out an upgrade to the myGov government website as a precursor to the rollout of a new myGov mobile app.
The revamped website has a new layout designed to make it easier for users to see their inbox messages and linked services from their home page, according to Minister for Government Services Bill Shorten.
“The myGov online portal is Australia’s largest authenticated platform, with more than 25 million active linked accounts and an average of one million sign-ins each day. The latest upgrades to the myGov website means it has the flexibility to adapt to meet people’s information needs and preferences into the future,” he said.
The upgrades to the site will allow users to be connected to a range of services based on life events and circumstances such as having and raising kids, aging, work, education and disability, he said.
“The refreshed myGov website is only the beginning though. We want Australia’s government services online to be the world’s best and the app, to be delivered soon, will further boost and simplify the user experience,” Shorten added.
“Improving myGov will be an ongoing process and there’s more to come, but for people who choose to use online services, these initial changes will help make using myGov a better experience.”
