PM&C approves Expense8 SaaS adoption
The Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet has given final approval to a project to deploy software technology company 8common’s Expense8 travel and enterprise management software.
The Expense8 will be delivered as software-as-a-service (SaaS) under a three-year contract valued at around $395,000. The contract also has options for extension for a further two years.
Expense8 is designed to streamline the accounting, reporting, tax compliance and governance of employee-generated expenses and travel bookings.
In May, the Department of Treasury arranged to adopt the Expense8 platform for its own travel and expense management needs. 8common also has government customers including federal Department of Finance, the NSW Department of Education, NSW Police, the whole of Northern Territory Government and Transport for NSW.
“We are very pleased with the positive feedback we have been receiving from the government sector regarding Expense8, 8common’s integrated travel and expense management SaaS solution,” said Nick Gonios, CEO of 8common Limited.
“We look forward to working with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to drive greater process and cost efficiencies.”
