Spookfish wins first NSW Government contract
Australian geospatial imagery product and service provider Spookfish has won its first NSW Government contract, signing a deal to provide high-resolution aerial imagery to NSW Spatial Services.
The 12-month contract with NSW Spatial Services, part of the NSW Department of Finance, Services and Innovation, is worth over $500,000. It was awarded through a competitive tender process.
It covers the delivery of large-scale orthorectified spatial imagery over the Sydney, Illawarra, Blue Mountains and Newcastle regions.
The department will have the ability to access and utilise the visual data through its online portal to improve the advice it can provide to departments, agencies and companies.
“This contract win demonstrates the wide area capture capabilities and cost-competitiveness of Spookfish’s technology and interactive portal and the value it brings to government departments such as NSW Spatial Services,” Spookfish CEO Jason Waller said.
“We are confident it will allow NSW Spatial Services to get much more value out of their imagery and provide a vital service to other departments. We look forward to future collaboration opportunities with them and hopefully a broader relationship with the NSW Government over time.”
The deal also marks Spookfish’s largest direct sales contract in the Australian market to date.
