Bittium expands mobile comms solutions to iOS
Finnish secure mobile system and software provider Bittium has announced plans to expand its portfolio of secure mobile communications solutions to users of Apple’s iOS platform.
Bittium’s SafeMove Mobile VPN and Secure Call encrypted voice, video and messaging application will now be available to iPhone and iPad users for the first time. The solutions are already available on the Android and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Bittium Senior Vice President for Defence and Security Tommi Kangas said its software solutions are already in use across a number of organisations.
“With the implementation of the iOS support, organisations using different operating systems and devices will benefit from secure communication across the whole organisation,” he said. “If the software-based security is not sufficient for all the users of the organisation, the entirety can be complemented with the ultra-secure smartphones of the Bittium Tough Mobile 2 product family. The security will be layered and ensures protection of both data saved on the phone and communications in the best possible way.”
Finland-based Bittium has 40 years’ experience in the defence and security sector, providing advanced radio communications technologies for defence forces, governments and authorities. The company’s mobile devices and cybersecurity solutions are certified up to the Confidential and NATO Restricted levels.
