NSW Dept of Justice taps Telestar for MDM
The NSW Department of Justice has contracted Telestar Communications to supply end-to-end managed mobility services for the department.
Telestar will provide an implementation based on its Bluewater system, covering mobile device management and support services, as well as cloud-hosted procurement and cost-control capability.
Bluestar will be used to manage the department’s fleet of over 4000 mobile devices and services, with the capacity to scale up to any future fleet size expansion.
The integrated software platform spans all five dimensions of the managed mobility domain — procurement, security, assistance, control and governance. The system allows provisioning to government specifications by providing controlled procurement for all mobile devices and connections.
The NSW Department of Justice includes multiple agencies responsible for all state courts, the Sheriff’s office, the state prison network, the Public Defender’s office, regulation of liquor and gaming, and emergency management for the state’s citizens.
“We are pleased to welcome the New South Wales Department of Justice as a new customer of the Bluewater system,” Telestar CEO Julie Atwal said.
“Bluewater is the leading managed mobility system in the region because it offers real efficiency benefits, typically reducing total mobile telecoms costs by up to 30%.”
