Okta completes IRAP assessments
Identity services provider Okta has completed Infosec Registered Assessors’ Program (IRAP) assessments for its Auth0 and Okta Identity platforms.
The assessment completed by CyberCX validates the platforms as having the security controls necessary to process and transmit information up to the Protected classification level, which includes data that has the potential to damage the national interest, organisations or individuals if exposed.
The independent reports will make it easier for Australian government departments to adopt Okta solutions, including its core Identity-as-a-Service platform and additional products such as Okta Workflows, Okta Privileged Access, Okta Identity Governance, Okta Access Gateway and Okta Inbox.
Okta Regional CSO for Asia-Pacific Brett Winterford said the assessment has left the company well-positioned to support Australian agencies with stringent compliance needs.
“These independent reports provide those agencies seeking to modernise their technology environment with the confidence and assurance to move off legacy on-premises infrastructure,” he said.
“Identity is a critical component of an organisation’s security. It’s a lynchpin capability that must be resilient to attack. Okta is the key enabler of flexibility and choice. When government agencies trust Okta as an independent and neutral provider of identity services, it opens the door for further adoption of modern applications and services.”
