Local ICT companies to upgrade City of Darwin's tech
The City of Darwin has awarded more than $1 million across three ICT businesses to improve the city’s service and device management and update its ageing hardware.
It follows the City’s call for tenders in April this year.
After receiving 25 tenders, the City chose three local businesses — CSG Business Solutions Pty Ltd, Leal Technology and Area9 IT Solutions — to supply printers, an integrated telephone system and PCs and laptops respectively.
The City hopes the investment will improve service delivery to the community, boost productivity and improve cost-efficiencies.
“This major investment will improve council’s capabilities and capacity by providing our 350 council employees with greater mobility, flexibility and improve overall productivity,” City of Darwin’s CEO, Scott Waters, said.
“Through these contracts City of Darwin continues our focus on integrating smart technology and systems into everything we do.”
