Melton City Council goes live with cloud ERP

As one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions, Melton City Council faces increasing demand for efficient, accessible services, and there has been significant pressure to deliver on time and on budget, ensuring the council can meet the needs of its rapidly growing community of more than 200,000 residents in Melbourne’s west.

Melton City Council transitioned to TechnologyOne’s OneCouncil SaaS+ platform to future-ready its operations and deliver tangible benefits to residents. The transformation positions the council to meet the needs of a growing population while maintaining high standards of governance and accountability.

Over 1000 staff are now using the platform, with phase one delivering core modules including Financials, Supply Chain, Budgeting, Performance Management, HR, Payroll and Content Management. Enterprise Asset Management and Spatial features will go live later in January, followed by Property & Rating and DXP LG.

“This project is about more than technology; it’s about people. Our residents expect efficient, transparent services, and OneCouncil helps us deliver exactly that. It gives our staff the tools to work smarter and respond faster, which means better outcomes for the entire Melton community,” said Roslyn Wai, Chief Executive Officer at Melton City Council.

“Melton City Council is setting the standard for digital transformation in local government by adopting TechnologyOne’s full suite of products,” said Ben Malpass, Executive Vice President for Local Government at TechnologyOne. “The council is future-proofing its operations and ensuring resilience, scalability and improved service delivery for years to come.

“This milestone reflects the strength of our 20-year partnership and commitment to innovation. With OneCouncil SaaS+, Melton is creating smarter, more connected resident experiences.”
