ANAO picks xAmplify as main managed services provider

The Australian National Audit Office has selected Canberra-based automation systems and AI provider xAmplify as its primary IT managed services provider. The company has been awarded a contract with an initial three year term valued at over $7 million. The office chose xAmplify as part of a competitive tender process.

Under the agreement, xAmplify will provide the ANAO with services under its managed service model, which is designed to provide transparency and control for the customer. The model has a focus on automation to reduce operating costs, and includes ongoing mechanisms for the customer to further reduce operating costs or increase engagement activity.

According to xAmplify COO Tom Scicluna, the agreement represents a major step forward in xAmplify's mission to modernise the public sector’s IT managed services landscape.

“This contract with the ANAO validates our vision to challenge traditional IT managed services models,” he said. “Our innovative approach focuses on maximising client value and efficiency through a contemporary and adaptable operating model which is underpinned by smart technology. We have designed our model to continually realise efficiencies through automation, sharing the benefits of that approach with the ANAO.”

The managed services model includes collaboration with Canberra-based specialist A23 for infrastructure and cloud services.

“The partnership between A23 and xAmplify exemplifies a new way of working that focuses on talent, collaboration and true value for government. We are disrupting the status quo,” said A23 CEO Natalie Legg.

The transition to the managed services arrangement is underway, and will be complete by the end of next month.
