LGAQ to hold Future Cities Summit
With Australia’s cities, suburbs and regional communities home to more than 75% of the population, it is more important than ever for authorities at all levels to plan for the challenges of tomorrow.
The Local Government Association of Queensland’s Future Cities Summit 2018 (11–13 July, Convention Centre, Cairns) will canvass:
- what it means to be a smart city or smart community
- how transportation and asset management can be done differently
- how local government engages with citizens
- how governments can plan for the technology disruptors
- how to ensure the health, wealth and wellbeing of all citizens.
The Future Cities Summit 2018 will see international, federal, state and local government leaders engage with each other and with private sector experts.
It will also include a technology showcase, demonstrating the latest innovations applicable to local government.
This is a must-attend event for mayors and councillors, CEOs, senior managers, peak body and government representatives, and private sector innovation leaders.
