Boomi completes comprehensive IRAP reassessment
Integration and automation company Boomi has completed a reassessment of its entire enterprise platform under the Australian Signals Directorate’s Information Security Registered Assessors (IRAP) program.
The successful recertification confirms that the platform is suitable for managing government data up to the Protected classification level.
Boomi first completed an IRAP assessment in November 2022, paving the way for the expanded use of the platform among Australian government agencies. The renewed assessment covers Boomi solutions including its managed cloud service, B2B management and event streams platform.
Completing the reassessment solidifies Boomi’s commitment to providing the highest levels of security and data protection for Australian organisation, according to the company’s CTO for Asia-Pacific and Japan David Irecki.
“With the temperature of the Australian security environment rising, maintaining strict standards for data protection and cybersecurity set out under the IRAP framework is more critical than ever, particularly as cross-agency and global cooperation become all the more necessary to mitigate risks,” he said.
With the recertification, government agencies are able to purchase any Boomi Enterprise Platform service without needing to complete their own independent assessments. The move also has the potential to increase adoption of the platform within the enterprise sector, because some Australian enterprises recognise IRAP as the gold standard for cloud security, Irecki said.
