Changes to AustCyber's Node Network approach
AustCyber CEO Michael Bromley has announced a shift in the organisation's focus — from targeting specific regions to a more nationally connected model that supports under-represented groups, remote areas and major population centres across Australia.
Bromley said the new approach will create a meaningful impact across Australia at a national level by connecting cybersecurity businesses with key government stakeholders.
"This move couldn't come at a better time, with the Australian Government's 2023–2030 Cyber Security Strategy Review consultation in full swing and the Defence Strategic Review highlighting cybersecurity as crucial for our nation's defence and security," he said.
"Our revamped national network is being established in both metropolitan and regional areas, sparking innovation and building cybersecurity communities throughout the country. It will be a collaborative platform for everyone in the sector, including you. Importantly, we're also introducing Cyber Security Ambassadors who'll play a critical role in this national network’s success while showcasing Australia's cybersecurity expertise on the global stage."
AustCyber is part of the Stone & Chalk Group, which Bromley says remains committed to expanding its cybersecurity national network and driving innovation across industries.
