Datadog completes IRAP assessment
US-based cloud application observability provider Datadog has completed an Information Security Registered Assessors’ Program (IRAP) assessment at the Protected classification level.
The assessment applies to the company’s full suite of observability and security capabilities, including infrastructure monitoring, application performance monitoring, and log management. Other assessed services include large language model observability, cloud security information event management, and bits AI, all of which have been deployed from Datadog’s Australian availability zone.
The assessment will enable government agencies and regulated industries to deploy these solutions while meeting requirements for ensuring suppliers comply with Australian security standards, according to Datadog Regional VP for ANZ Roz Gregory.
“We’ve cleared one of the highest security bars in Australia and New Zealand, removing roadblocks and accelerating secure cloud adoption for the region’s most regulated sectors,” Gregory said. “Government agencies and regulated organisations can confidently rely on Datadog to monitor their most sensitive workloads in line with high security standards.”
Datadog has also achieved achieving Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) High ‘In Process’ status in the US along with other security milestones.
“This new designation underscores our commitment to security, compliance and trust for our customers in A/NZ, and builds on the recent launch of our data centre presence in Australia — proving we’re not just investing in the region, but that we’re here to power its most critical systems, securely,” Gregory said.
