Fortinet completes IRAP assessment for FortiSASE
Fortinet has completed an Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment for its FortiSASE secure access service edge solution on the Google Cloud Platform.
The completion of the independent assessment has confirmed the solution’s suitability to handle government data up to the Protected classification level.
The assessment confirms that government agencies and critical infrastructure operators can be assured that sensitive information is stored within Australia’s jurisdiction. These customers can also take advantage of the platform’s ability to consolidate network and security functions into a unified cloud-native platform. Agencies and critical infrastructure operators will meanwhile be able to take advantage of simplified procurement processes.
FortiSASE on the Google Cloud platform also offers the ability to leverage Google Cloud’s Cross-Cloud Network to enhance connectivity and support secure access to applications.
Fortinet’s Director for National Public Sector Australia, Andrew Stevens, said the completion of the assessment underscores the company’s commitment to the Australian public sector.
“This milestone strengthens Fortinet’s relationships with government agencies by continuing to deliver solutions that prioritise security and compliance,” he said. “As cyberthreats continue to evolve, Fortinet remains dedicated to staying ahead of emerging risks through innovation and collaboration.
“With ongoing investment in research and development, and continuous alignment with Australia’s cybersecurity standards, Fortinet positions itself as a key partner in the nation’s digital transformation.”
