Ping Identity completes IRAP assessment
Ping Identity has completed an Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment for its PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud identity and access management (IAM) solution.
The successful assessment clears the way for the use of the platform to manage government data up to the PROTECTED classification level.
The assessment was completed by Australian Signals Directorate-endorsed assessors, and evaluated the security controls for the platform and their alignment with the federal government’s Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
Ping Identity CISO Russ Kirby said achieving the certification validates Ping Identity’s ability to support government and regulated industries in both Australia and New Zealand.
“This is a major milestone in our commitment to security, data residency and trust,” he said. “Meeting the rigorous requirements of the Australian Government Information Security Manual reinforces our ability to support government and regulated industries with confidence, aligning our controls and infrastructure with the highest regional standards.”
The company’s VP for ANZ Ash Diffey added that by completing the assessment the company has strengthened its position in the public sector.
“[We also] deepen our partnerships, and demonstrate that security is embedded in everything we do,” he said. “This milestone reflects our ongoing responsibility to protect data, manage risk proactively and maintain the trust our customers place in us every day.”
