SA Gov emergency website receives upgrade

An upgrade has been carried out on the South Australian Government emergency website.

The site contains general information about emergency management and is recommended as the ‘go-to source’ for local councils to use on their relevant web page.

The LGA will assist councils in creating an appropriate emergency management web page to link to government information.

The SA Fire and Emergency Services Commission (SAFECOM) has refined the sa.gov.au/emergencies web page.

It will assist councils in providing information to the public about:

  • the support that can be provided before, during and after an emergency;
  • who to contact for emergency assistance; and
  • improved understanding of emergencies.

The SA Government has asked councils to consider including a web button and link on their home pages where possible. Councils wishing to add localised content can do so.
