SWEAR digital content security platform validated by ESI Convergent
Digital media protection technology provider SWEAR has announced that its SWEAR Security platform has been validated by business consulting and services provider ESI Convergent.
The validation process focused on the platform’s ability to verify the authenticity of video, audio and digital files without embedding metadata or altering the original creation.
SWEAR said its platform is designed to capture and map media files at the moment of creation and preserve the data in an independent blockchain ledger to help address threats of data manipulation posed by advances in AI technology. The platform maps pixels, frames and soundbites onto the blockchain to allow users to detect when media content has been altered.
As AI-generated content becomes more common and advanced, the threat of data manipulation is putting pressure on industries that depend on media and content. SWEAR's technology is designed to addresses this challenge at the source. By capturing and mapping the digital DNA of media at the moment of creation and preserving it in a blockchain ledger, SWEAR Security creates an irrefutable chain of custody. SWEAR says that security leaders can act with confidence, knowing the content they rely on for mission-critical decisions is both original and tamper-evident.
The company aims to address growing industry demand for solutions that can authenticate media including video surveillance and digital communications to ensure the integrity of security investigations, compliance and crisis management processes.
ESI Convergent president Pierre Bourgeix said the company was impressed by the SWEAR platform’s ability to verify digital authenticity without altering the original content.
“The solution fills a critical gap in today’s security environment because it gives organisations the power to prove what’s real in a landscape that is increasingly manipulated,” he said. “We envision SWEAR playing a vital role across government, commercial, and public safety sectors in the coming years.”
SWEAR CEO Jason Crawforth welcomed the authentication.
“This validation underscores what we’ve always known: securing the truth is a mission-critical function,” he said. “In a world where deepfakes and misinformation can erode trust in what’s real, SWEAR helps organisations preserve integrity at the source. ESI Convergent’s endorsement reinforces our value as both a security technology and a truth verification platform.”
