Workday completes IRAP assessment
Enterprise cloud application company Workday has completed an Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment, authorising it to carry government data up to the PROTECTED classification level.
The assessment will further expand Workday’s ability to serve Australian government agencies following its recent appointment to the Digital Transformation Agency’s Cloud Marketplace.
The IRAP assessment covers Workday’s suite of applications, including Workday Financial Management, Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Workday Adaptive Planning, as well as the associated infrastructure hosted in Workday’s AWS Australia region.
Workday has committed to maintaining the IRAP assessment and conducting external assessments at least every 24 months, according to Managing Director and Vice President Jo-Anne Ruhl.
“The IRAP assessment reinforces Workday’s commitment to security and privacy, and helps position Workday as a leading solution for Australian federal, state and territory government agencies wanting to move to the cloud so they can thrive in this changing world,” she said.
Workday specialises in cloud applications for finance and human resources, and its applications have been adopted by more than 50% of Fortune 500 companies in the US.
The IRAP assessment is administered by the Australian Cyber Security Centre, and assesses a system’s security against the policies and guidelines from the Information Security Manual.
