SA Treasury selects Oracle for ERP needs
The South Australian Government has selected Oracle’s Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning suite to help transform the state’s financial processes to improve productivity while reducing costs.
The state government’s Shared Services South Australia (SSSA) agency, a division of the Department of Treasury and Finance, has selected the suite for its digital transformation processes.
The agency decided to adopt a flexible cloud-based finance system to allow it to improve accuracy and efficiency while adhering to changing legislative requirements and accounting standards, according to SSSA Executive Director Mark Carey. The SSSA currently handles more than three million invoices and produces 175 sets of financial statements each year.
“As part of the department’s vision of being a world-class treasury, we need to adopt new technology to accelerate digital transformation and deliver high-quality financial services to our customers,” he said. “Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Fusion ERP Analytics provide capabilities that will help us improve the speed and accuracy of financial processes and expand business insights for decision-making and resource allocation.”
Oracle VP for Applications for Australia and New Zealand Meredith Rowan said the company is excited to be supporting the South Australian Government’s digital transformation.
“With population and business growth on the horizon, the South Australian Government is adopting automation and touchless financial processes to deliver more value to its constituents,” she said.
