CCTV Grants open for local SA councils
The South Australian Government has committed $500,000 per year for the CCTV Grants Program.
This will enable local councils to match dollar for dollar in order to implement CCTV infrastructure within their electorates.
During this financial year, the program will move from a fixed window for applications to an ongoing process, providing more flexibility for council planning. It is also hoped that the change will encourage greater implementation of CCTV projects around the state.
CCTV infrastructure is designed to improve safety, prevent crime and reduce the fear of crime.
Local councils are encouraged to read the Grants Guidelines prior to submitting an application.
Applications must be completed online and are open from today until 31 May 2017.
