Forescout completes IRAP assessment
US-based cybersecurity company Forescout has completed an Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) security assessment at the Protected level for its cloud security platform.
The assessment satisfies a key requirement for Australian public sector organisations to use Forescout solutions to handle sensitive data in a secure cloud platform environment that complies with Australian Cyber Security Centre standards.
Forescout CEO Barry Mainz said the certification underscores Forescout’s commitment to delivering cybersecurity solutions that meet Australian data protection standards.
“Receiving IRAP accreditation reinforces our ability and commitment to achieving the highest security and compliance standards in Australia, as we already do as the partner of choice, trusted to secure the world’s largest organisations,” he said.
Forescout Country Manager for ANZ Colin Garro added that the assessment will benefit Australian Government agencies as they begin embracing AI capabilities.
“With the successful completion of our IRAP assessment at the Protected level, we are proud to extend our expertise and solutions even further to support the continued protection of Australia’s public sector and critical infrastructure providers against the rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape,” he said. “As more Australian Government agencies and organisations adopt a cloud-first strategy, their attack surface expands, making it more crucial than ever to pair these advancements with a robust cybersecurity strategy.”
