Oracle SaaS products get IRAP certification
Oracle’s SaaS suite has secured certification under the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Information Security Registered Assessors Program to handle government data up to the protected level.
Multiple Oracle Fusion Cloud products — Enterprise Resource Planning, Supply Chain Management and Human Capital Management — have been certified as qualified for handling protected government data.
The certification from an independent third-party assessor also certified the Oracle Fusion Cloud Customer Experience and Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management platforms up to the sensitive level.
The certification will allow Oracle to provide these applications, running on its cloud infrastructure in its Sydney and Melbourne data centre regions, to Australian federal government departments. Government entities will be able to take advantage of full onshore data recovery, protecting data sovereignty.
Oracle Director Cloud Platform, Federal & ACT Government Malini Nambiar said the certification will help Oracle stand out from the competition.
“Oracle offers a set of true cloud applications running on its own secure-by-design cloud, located within Australia. Many competing applications are not true cloud products, are not IRAP certified or are not housed on sovereign clouds,” she said.
“Now Australian federal government entities can take advantage of the benefits of running their applications in the cloud, and can remain confident about the security of their data.”
