Teradata completes IRAP assessment
Cloud database and analytics software company Teradata has completed an Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment for its VantageCloud Enterprise data analytics platform.
The successful IRAP assessment paves the way for VantageCloud running on Amazon Web Services to manage Australian government data up to the Protected classification level.
VantageCloud is designed to allow organisations to enable AI technologies and unlock business insights from their data across public cloud, hybrid or on-premises environments. The platform is already in use by government agencies in Australia, as well as financial services, telecom, manufacturing, retail and healthcare companies.
Teradata VP for Australia and New Zealand Josh Abbott welcomed the development. “The completion of the IRAP assessment not only demonstrates Teradata’s ongoing investment in the government and defence sector but our commitment to mission-critical security for all Australian customers,” he said.
“With Teradata Vantage Cloud assessed as IRAP protected, our customers can be confident in the security of their most critical asset — data.”
The IRAP program was developed by the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) to provide product security assessment to government agencies and critical infrastructure. Products must be evaluated by a certified independent assessor for their adherence to government-level security standards included in the Information Security Manual (ISM).
